Congratulations on being selected to participate in the USA Hockey Rocky Mountain District Girls-13 High Performance Development Camp, which is an honor you should be proud of. This Camp is designed as an encouraging, motivating, positive environment for female hockey players to continue their skill development with the chance to play with and against the best players from across the Rocky Mountain District.
Please see all pertinent details and information on the documents to the right.
This camp is in its second year for 2011 birth year girls from mostly the Rocky Mountain District. Last year’s camp was a huge success based on feedback from the players and parents. A few lessons learned from last year and best practices from other camps will be applied to this year’s camp, so we are very excited to be back in Ogden to hold an even more successful camp and provide a great experience for young girls hockey players from the RMD. Some important elements of this camp are listed below.
Hi campers-
We are just a few days away from the start of this year's USA Hockey Western Regional High Performance Girls Camp, and we can't wait to get going.
The rosters for this year's teams, as well as the schedule for the entire weekend are posted to the right. Please note your check in time, and plan on being in the lobby of America First Center at least 5 minutes before your scheduled time, as players and families will be asked to gather as a team, and you will meet your team leaders for the weekend, as well as get your jerseys and socks plus other items. Players will receive badge credentials for the event, and ONLY badge-credentialed players, coaches and staff will be allowed in the downstairs bench and locker room areas. We will remove anyone from the building that violates this policy, as it is a direct violation of our MAAPP and SafeSport policies in place.
During this check in process, you MUST bring $30 cash if you are not staying in the host hotels provided for all days of the camp with the earlier link, and you will NOT get your jerseys and socks for camp without making this payment. NO EXCEPTIONS will be allowed, as we have over 120 campers at this event, and we need this process to go smoothly.
Team coaches will give specifics on game protocols (i.e. arrival times for dryland, other team specific needs), so please ensure that you have some flexibility in your schedule by arriving to the arena earlier than the posted start times.
Please note that this camp is designed as an encouraging, motivating, positive environment for these female hockey players to continue their skill development and have a chance to play with and against players from all over the western half of the United States. The results of the games are not relevant, and player stats (goals, assists) will not be kept, as they do not have any meaning in our player development. This camp will also prepare players for next year's player selection camps in each district that will advance a select few on to national camps.
We hope everyone enjoys the camp, and gets a tremendous amount of experience from the weekend.
See you in Vegas!

Select Girls players will compete for the opportunity to advance to USA Hockey’s National Camps (sites & dates vary by age). The Girls portion of the RMD PEC will be done simultaneously with the Boys portion. Some important elements of this camp are listed below.
This camp for 2010 birth year girls is a “joint venture” with the Northern Plains, Pacific, and Rocky Mountain Districts, which have partnered for years on a Boys-14 camp. This Girls-14 joint camp has been held before, but not since pre-Covid for various reasons. However, given the success of the boys camp and continued growth of girls hockey numbers in the 3 Districts and USA Hockey, it just made sense for us to collaborate again and host the girls camp this year. Some important elements of this camp are listed below.
As of May 23, 2024, USA Hockey finalized the player selections for the Girls National Player Development Camps in accordance with the National Notification Timeline. At this time, all Rocky Mountain District players selected to attend or who are alternates for one of the 2024 National Girls Player Development Camps have been notified. The list of selected players for each Girls National Camp is posted on the specific camp pages, which can be found at:
https://teamusa.usahockey.com/playerdevelopmentcamps.
Congratulations to those players advancing and best wishes to all players in the upcoming season. Thank you to all the coaches, evaluators, staff and volunteers who helped make the 2024 RMD PEC a success!
